A collective experience of addressing trauma that has been shared between 3 or more people such as family members, co-workers, community members or a group with no prior connection; yet they have been affected by the same traumatic event. Individuals will discover their emotional triggers to traumatic situations, in order to reduce the risk of transferring their trauma on to others.
The sessions will allow groups to safely discuss, review, and react to what they are naturally feeling. The exposure to different points of view helps the group process their own hurt and pain while gaining empathy & compassion for others who are also hurting. Dr. Marty believes that when groups can create safe, non-judgmental spaces it allows people to show up authentically.
